When it comes to technology, there seems to be almost nothing it can’t do, no problem it can’t solve. There certainly are examples of problems tech has yet to conquer, but for the most part, our day to day needs as a species are met in some way by technological advancements. Yes, it’s truly a great thing, when you think about, that so many of our troubles have been alleviated, if not eliminated, by tech. It boggles the mind, really. From the big to the small, tech has revolutionized many aspects of human life, making modern life a far cry from just a few generations ago, let alone the primitive dawn of our species.
Online shopping, in particular, has changed the name of the game, so to speak. Now, most of our shopping, if not all of it, can be done from the computer in our study, or on the phone in our pocket. If you need to buy a new backpack from Amazon, or some dog food from PetSmart, all you have to do is visit their websites to place your order for delivery. Online shopping also presents entrepreneurial opportunities, as well. Etsy is a great example of this. Many people have taken advantage of online shopping infrastructure to make and sell their own products on sites like Etsy.
Another facet of life transformed by tech is communication. Imagine, you are in the 1800s. You need to contact your family back home, and you have only one option, handwritten correspondence. Now, however, you simply need to click, tap, or even just say your way to instant communication via voice, text, or even video. This has created a global community that’s becoming smaller by the day, thanks to new breakthroughs in tech.
